Lake Whatcom is a very large freshwater lake located in Whatcom County, Washington. At an elevation of 312 ft. and 4923.6 acres, it's home to several species of fish, including kokanee, peamouth, yellow perch, brown bullhead, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, pumpkinseed sunfish and coastal cutthroat trout (resident). Lake Whatcom provides good shoreline access and a number of boat launches.

An modestly traveled lake, there has been some successful reports by anglers at Lake Whatcom over the past few years.
Anglers reported the most success with smallmouth bass.
